Sean Dempsey, Director of Client Relations and Business Development
The Meritage Resort and Spa, Napa California
Mr. Dempsey suffered a seizure and was diagnosed with brain bleeding due to an arteriovenous malformation. Speech mapping and awake microsurgery were required for the resection and cure of the AVM.
Joycelin Craig, Asst. Director of Exhibit Environment
The Exploratorium, San Francisco
Ms. Craig experienced a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. The aneurysm was eliminated by endovascular coil embolization. She was also diagnosed with a second aneurysm which was unsuitable for coiling, and required a craniotomy with microsurgical clipping at a later date. Because the second aneuysm was unruptured and treated electively, Ms. Craig was able to undergo an additional surgery of the spine to treat a long standing back and pain problem, between the two surgeries.
Thomas Dixon, M.D.
Dr. Dixon underwent 2 separate surgeries of the cervical and lumbar spine to alleviate longstanding spinal stenosis causing neck and back pain.
Dr. Tomassine Sellers, Professor of Education
San Francisco State University
Professor Sellers suffered a seizure and a severe stroke from a ruptured aneurysm. She was initially comatose with left sided paralysis. After the aneurysm was cured by coil embolization and after intensive rehabilitation, she went on to achieve a full neurological recovery.
Joe Orlando, Media consultant
When Mr. Orlando was undergoing an MRI scan for treatment of his epilepsy in 2007, an unruptured cerebral aneurysm was found by his neurologist. A craniotomy with microsurgery clip ligation was performed to eliminate the aneurysm.
Regina Galarneau, Business Systems Consultant and World Traveler
Ms. Galarneau was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm on New Years' Eve 2007. She was cured by a craniotomy with clip ligation to eliminate the aneurysm.

Christopher Caravaca, Securities Trader
Mr. Caravaca sustained a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm which was eliminated with endovascular coil embolization. He was also diagnosed with a second unruptured cerebral aneurysm which was treated preemptively by coil embolization, using an intracranial stent.
Robert Kuhn, Data Safety Monitor
UCSF Cancer Center, San Francisco
Mr. Kuhn was presented with an extraordinarily large unruptured cerebral aneurysm which compressed his brain stem and caused progressive left sided paralysis. He benefited from state of the art neurointerventional technology and techniques, including micro coils and intracranial stents. The aneurysm was eliminated by using a combination of these technologies.
Mr. Addelman suffered a severe, sudden stroke from a blocked basilar artery, which nourishes the brain stem. His stroke caused coma and was nearly fatal, before it was reversed by an emergency endovascular procedure.

Ms. Addington, an attorney, suffered a debilitating stroke from blockage of the middle cerebral artery that caused a loss of speech and motor power to the right side of her body. She was rescued by an emergency endovascular procedure.
Robin Douglass, Property Manager
Ms. Douglas had been experiencing headaches over a week and eventually went to the emergency room (ER) when the pain became unbearable. She was diagnosed with a large cerebral aneurysm which was eliminated by Dr. Thomas, using a craniotomy and microsurgical clip ligation.
